Question
The routers for my bonded ADSL solution all have private IP addresses, I thought we had a public IP range?
Answer
You do have a public IP range for your bonded ADSL link, but this is routed over our private network.
You will see that each modem/router has a private IP range similar to those you might use on your own corporate network. Rather than waste valuable public IP space, and also present every network device we have to the internet and therefore security threats, we choose to keep our network private. This is much better for you, as you get a much cleaner connection to the internet for your bonded ADSL solution, and to each of your other sites if you choose to have a multi-site IPSEC VPN.
In fact, if you connect each of your sites to our private network, then you greatly simplify your network, and stop the need for point to point connections. Just connect everything to our cloud. All of your network traffic is isolated from our other customers, and you can share a single connection to the internet, rather than have to purchase a separate internet connection for each site.
All your sites can then benefit from industry leading bonded ADSL solutions, and private non-internet bases point to point connectivity
