Evolving Networks Building a Bonded ADSL Future for RG Spiller
Evolving Networks are pleased to have successfully rolled out a bonded ADSL infrastructure for RG Spiller, a leading construction company based in the South West of England.
With a head office in Chard, a satellite office in Durrington and further local semi permanent locations dotted throughout the South West, RG Spiller is a family owned business with a history stretching back over 160 years.
As the need for reliable connectivity is becoming increasingly business critical, a solution to the unreliable local broadband situation was needed. Having consulted widely, bonded ADSL had been agreed upon as the best way of increasing both the speed and reliability of communications.
Working in partnership with a trusted local partner, a number of bonded ADSL suppliers were approached with a short list quickly drawn up. However, the unique demands of a business with multiple sites and the need for external monitoring & management by the IT partner organisation, via the bonded ADSL link, were too much for some.
The bonded ADSL order was initially placed with an alternative supplier, who misunderstood the brief. The result of this was that the project was running late by the time Evolving Networks were brought in to rectify the situation. However, with a lead time of just 10 days, new PSTN lines, ADSL services and a fully managed bonded ADSL solution was provided.
The complexity of the solution was the unique IP requirements of the IT support company involved. However, due to the advanced nature of the Evolving Networks infrastructure, and the quality of their in house engineering staff – the bonded ADSL solution was fully tested in a lab environment before being shipped preconfigured to site.
The result is a fully functioning bonded ADSL solution delivered in short timeframes, and accommodating a complex brief.
