As specialist providers of industrial strength bonded ADSL solutions to UK business, we know bonded ADSL inside out. Our Enterprise Management Portal is about empowering our customers, giving them full visibility of the status and performance of their bonded ADSL solution.

Is your Enterprise Management Portal available for Managed VPN customers?

Yes it is, all Evolving Networks customers have access to our Enterprise Management Portal.

Our customers’ networks cover the spectrum from single bonded ADSL solutions at one site, through single ADSL or bonded ADSL links at multiple sites and on to customers with a fully managed VPN solution linking multiple sites with bonded and single ADSL connectivity.

All customers can monitor their network status and performance at all times, through the Enterprise Management Portal, delivering exceptional visibility and situational awareness.

A high proportion of our managed VPN customers have managed networks built on bonded ADSL, where the key constraining factor is obviously the upload. The transparency afforded by the Enterprise Management Portal allows for critical capacity planning to be conducted in a timely and efficient manner, as well as aiding the diagnostic process in the event of any issues.

So whether you have a single bonded ADSL or a complex managed VPN across many sites, you can be sure that the industry leading Enterprise Management Portal is available to you at all times.

Can I monitor my network of home users through the Enterprise Management Portal?

Absolutely. Although one of the key features of the Enterprise Management Portal is the ability to monitor the status of your bonded ADSL solution, you can also monitor your single ADSL links as this functionality is available to all Evolving Networks customers.

We supply single managed ADSL links to numerous companies in the UK, and they all come with access to our Enterprise Management Portal as standard. This means that our industry leading level of visibility is available to customers with single ADSL links rather than just being reserved for our bonded ADSL customers.

This is of particular use for IT or Network Managers who are responsible for managing a network of home or tele workers. Migrate your network to Evolving Networks and we will deliver total visibility of your network. Our Enterprise Management Portal dashboard gives you live status of every connection in your network, and you can drill down to see uptime performance, live graphs and total amount of data transferred.

Can I migrate from my existing ADSL line to a bonded ADSL service without losing connectivity?

Yes. When you sign up to a bonded ADSL service from Evolving Networks you will be assigned a member of our technical staff who will act as your Deployment Manager.

Each deployment is different and is planned for appropriately. However, if you have an existing ADSL line that is used for internet and email use we are able to deliver a new ADSL line and begin to supply the service over the new line.

The existing line can then be migrated and added to the bonded solution. Planning and carrying out a migration in this way allows the service to be delivered without the uncertainty of migrating a line that is relied upon.

I’m looking for a bonded ADSL solution, can I use my existing connectivity?

In order to deliver a fully managed bonded ADSL solution we need to supply the tails to your premises ourselves.

Links that we do not supply will not be routed through our private network via our central bonding cluster. Whilst we could bond these together, the performance would be severly impaired as data streams would traverse the internet to reach the central bonding cluster.

If you have existing communications links we are able to load balance between them to deliver more redundancy into your network. However, to be able to deliver a fully managed bonded ADSL solution, as a genuine alternative to a leased line, we need provide Evolving Networks links.

Will I be able to use the phone lines for voice if I install a bonded ADSL solution?

Obviously many customers use their bonded ADSL solution for the purposes of Voice over IP technology. However, many don’t and still want to use their PSTN (BT Analogue Phone lines) for their voice calls at the same time as supporting a bonded ADSL service for reliable, high speed internet access.

There is absolutely no problem with your phone lines being used for voice calls when we deliver your bonded ADSL connection. In fact most companies have a dedicated PSTN line for their fax machine, this is fine and can be used to deliver one of the links of your bonded ADSL solution.

Even if you are unlucky enough to be a long way from your exchange and get poor ADSL speeds, don’t worry. Evolving Networks specialise in delivering bonded ADSL solutions into demanding environments, and this includes long line connectivity from the Exchange.

We have a large number of bonded ADSL customers who were getting very poor throughput speeds on a single ADSL line, who are now seeing vastly improved performance on a bonded ADSL link. And as ADSL uses a difference part of the spectrum to the voice section of the line, there is no performance impact on the bonded ADSL if the lines are also used for voice.

We have telephone lines already coming into the building. Can we use these existing telephone lines or do we have to have your telephone lines installed for the bonded ADSL connections?

We can use any standard PSTN telephone line, and can have additional installed as necessary. If you have lines already at your location, then we will add broadband to those lines (or migrate existing broadband to us).

While it is possible to bond and balance ADSL lines from different network suppliers, it is much more efficient to put everything down the same network. Our private ATM network links all of our broadband lines to our central data centre in London, and backup data centre in Cambridge.

We can also monitor and control each line in the bonded ADSL or bonded SDSL connection carefully, when they are all in our network. We can then proactively look for issues and resolve them without you even knowing about them. The best network is a silent, self-healing network. That’s what you get when you install a bonded broadband connection from Evolving Networks.

Do you supply PSTN lines for the bonded ADSL, or do I need to source these seperately?

It is entirely up to you. Evolving Networks can supply PSTN lines for your bonded ADSL solution if you would like, or you can source PSTN lines from your current fixed line supplier or direct from BT and we will supply your bonded ADSL service over these PSTN lines.

When Evolving Networks supply PSTN lines for bonded ADSL solutions, we supply data only lines. As these cannot be used for voice calls we do not make money on them, hence you could probably source lines from an alternative supplier for a slightly lower monthly charge.

The trade off here is that BT will only deal with their contracted party in the event of any problems. So if Evolving Networks supply your PSTN lines and your bonded ADSL solution, you have a single point of contact for all your internet connectivity needs – you would never have to pick up the phone to BT again!
